What they need

2-year Fixed Term Contract

We’re looking for an experienced Change Manager to play a pivotal role in our Asset Transformation Programme within the Network division. This programme is modernising how we manage and maintain our electricity network through the implementation of ESRI GIS and Maximo Asset Management, supported by new data‑driven asset management practices.

Working closely with programme leadership, project teams, and relevant business units, you’ll lead end‑to‑end change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new systems, processes, and ways of working. You’ll be a key member of the programme leadership team, providing clear guidance on change impacts and outcomes, with success measured by strong engagement and realisation of programme benefits.
This is a 2‑year fixed term opportunity suited to a hands‑on change professional who thrives in complex, technology‑enabled environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead change management across the Asset Transformation Programme using recognised frameworks
  • Develop and maintain core change artefacts (change strategy, impact and stakeholder assessments, communications, training and readiness plans)
  • Execute and measure change adoption and effectiveness
  • Coach leaders and teams to support transition and embed new systems and processes
  • Partner with change agents, workstream leads and project managers to ensure consistent change delivery
  • Provide insights and reporting to programme and senior leaders
  • Actively contribute to Agile delivery activities including ceremonies, testing, go-live and post‑implementation
  • Support solution design by articulating business value and user needs

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with network business units, Group Digital and Energy Services
  • Engage external vendors, implementation partners, network owners, clients and L&D providers

Health, Safety and Environment

  • Promote a strong health, safety, quality and environmental culture
  • Ensure safe work practices and incident reporting
  • Take responsibility for stopping unsafe work

About you:
You’re an experienced change leader who is confident operating in complex digital transformation programmes and building trust with diverse stakeholder groups.

You’ll bring:

  • A recognised change management qualification (e.g. PROSCI, APMG)
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar change management or project role
  • Proven experience supporting large digital systems implementations
  • Experience working in utilities or asset management systems (preferred)
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments (preferred)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a cross‑functional environment
  • A practical, delivery‑focused mindset with strong judgement and decision‑making capability

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive remuneration
  • An in-house well-being programme, a peer support network (Kaitiaki) and EAP services
  • Life Insurance and group discounted medical insurance
  • Commitment to professional growth and development
  • A friendly workplace where people are valued and appreciated
  • Tailored leadership development in line with our specialised capability framework
  • Social club, family-friendly events and discounted gym membership along with various retail discounts
