CHARGE ENTRY SPECIALIST

EM.LYTICS LLC is seeking a Charge Entry Specialist to support accurate and timely billing workflows for onsite operations in Warrenton.

Position Summary

The Charge Entry Specialist is responsible for entering, verifying, and maintaining charges to ensure billing accuracy and adherence to established processes. This part-time onsite role supports smooth day-to-day revenue cycle functions by correcting discrepancies and confirming charge completeness and proper coding alignment.

You will collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues, maintain documentation, and contribute to a high standard of data quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and review charge information accurately and consistently according to established workflows and requirements.
• Verify charge completeness, coding accuracy, and relevant supporting documentation.
• Identify and resolve errors or discrepancies, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Maintain organized records and ensure timely updates to billing-related systems and documentation.
• Support collaboration with internal teams to improve accuracy and reduce rework.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to accurately enter and verify details with strong attention to accuracy.
• Comfort working with data-intensive processes and maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.
• Ability to follow established procedures and meet defined timelines.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in charge entry, billing support, or related revenue cycle functions.
• Familiarity with common billing and coding principles used in healthcare or similar industries.
• Experience reviewing work for accuracy and quality assurance.
• Ability to recognize patterns in billing issues and help drive process improvements.
• Prior experience working in an onsite office environment.
• AAPC certified medical biller, professional coder, documentation expert

Compensation

Minimum salary: $14.00 - Maximum salary: $16.00
