Role Details
Perilya is seeking an experienced Charge Up Operator to join our underground mining team in Broken Hill. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a long-standing operation that values safety, teamwork, and career development.

As a Charge Up Operator, you will be responsible for carrying out underground charge-up activities in accordance with statutory requirements and site procedures to ensure safe and efficient blasting operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct charging, blasting, and handling of explosives in line with site standards and legislative requirements
• Safely transport, prepare, and use explosives underground
• Maintain accurate records of explosives usage and blasting activities
• Work collaboratively with the shift team to achieve production targets
• Ensure compliance with all site safety policies and procedures

What You Will Bring

• BEUL (Blasting Explosives User Licence) – essential
• Demonstrated underground charge-up experience in metalliferous mining
• Sound understanding of underground mine safety regulations and procedures
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• Ability to work a rostered shift pattern
