We have an exciting opportunity for a Chargehand position in our Hot Smoke factory. This is akey role in the day-to-day running of the operations activities in the team. The Chargehand will ensure that staff are led effectively and that all activities in Hot Smoke are performed safely, efficiently and in a manner that meets NZ King Salmon’s Food safety requirements and customer standards.

This role is on our day shift with the hours generally being Monday – Friday 7.30am – 4.00pm so you will be able to enjoy weekends off! However, flexibility in these hours will be required to support other areas of the team.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a processing environment
• Previous leadership experience
• A keen eye for detail & positive attitude
• To be a team player with great people skills
• Knowledge of SOP’s and basic Microsoft Word & Excel skills

As parts of the role may be repetitive and require some heavy lifting, you will need a moderate degree of physical fitness.

As we produce some of the world’s tastiest salmon, it is imperative that you ensure our highest standards of health, safety and food quality are met. Experience working with date coding would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.
