CHARGEMAN AO

We are seeking an experienced and competent Chargeman A0 to join our team on a one-year contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage electrical installations while ensuring compliance with safety requirements and applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain low-voltage electrical systems and equipment
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on switchboards, distribution boards, motors, control panels, cables, lighting systems, and electrical equipment
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting and rectify faults safely and efficiently
• Carry out switching, isolation, and restoration of electrical supplies according to approved procedures
• Monitor electrical loads, voltage, current, power factor, and equipment conditions
• Maintain electrical rooms, switchboards, and installations in a safe and orderly condition
• Conduct regular checks on standby generators, emergency power systems, and related equipment
• Assist with electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities
• Coordinate electrical shutdowns and maintenance activities with clients, contractors, and project teams
• Implement lockout/tagout procedures before carrying out electrical work

Job Requirements:

• Possess a valid Chargeman A0 Certificate of Competency issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga
• Minimum five years of relevant experience as a Chargeman or in electrical operation and maintenance
• Good knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe switching procedures
• Familiar with permit-to-work, lockout/tagout, and electrical safety procedures
• Able to read and understand electrical single-line diagrams and technical drawings
• Good communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills
• Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Able to work independently and as part of a site team
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or during emergency shutdowns when required
• Willing to travel and work outstation

Contract: 12 months
