Chargeman B0 (11kv)

About the role

Perform hands-on and assist electrical maintenance activities on electrical equipment including electrical switching, lighting, small power and MVA, LV & HV electric motors, LV & HV switchgears and motor control centre, transformers and busduct systems, fire alarm and CO2 systems, UPS and DC charger units, cathodic protection systems, and emergency diesel generators. As a competent electrical chargeman, monitor, operate and test electrical equipment in Sub-Station where this job requires competency by Law of Malaysia.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to and enforce safety rules and procedures by adopting established safety code and practices and regulatory requirements to ensure all employees working in a safe environment
• Ensure all works are carried out as per LCTM Occupational, Health, Safety & Environmental Policy and ISO Standard Electrical Maintenance procedure
• Be an active member in daily morning toolbox meetings to discuss work-related matters and steps to be taken before carrying out assigned jobs
• Prepare daily reports, update work orders in SAP System and other documentation related to day-to-day jobs
• Monitor, operate and test electrical equipment in Sub-Station
• Work during off-working hours, emergency call-backs, weekends and at other plants within the LCTM complex to attend to planned or unplanned jobs as assigned
• Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by immediate superior

About you

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering with B0 Electrical Chargeman Certificate
• Minimum 7 years working experience in maintenance of low and high voltage systems
• Knowledge of electrical installation is an added advantage
