CHARGEMAN (BO Certificate)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chargeman with a BO (Boiler Operator) Certificate to join JCY HDD Technology Sdn Bhd in Tebrau, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in the operation and maintenance of our electrical and electronic engineering facilities. As Chargeman, you will be responsible for overseeing operational systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and reliability within our organisation. This role is essential to the smooth functioning of our manufacturing and engineering operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring boiler systems and associated equipment in accordance with safety standards and regulations
• Performing routine inspections, maintenance and diagnostic checks on electrical and electronic systems to ensure optimal performance
• Maintaining detailed records of operational activities, maintenance schedules and equipment performance
• Responding promptly to system alerts and troubleshooting equipment faults to minimise downtime
• Supervising and coordinating with maintenance teams and other operational staff to ensure efficient workflow
• Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies
• Conducting safety briefings and training sessions for operational staff
• Reporting on operational status and recommending improvements to enhance system efficiency and safety
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment
• Monitor electrical supply, switchboards, transformers and related system.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs.
• Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) requirements and applicable electrical regulations.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers for electrical works.

What we're looking for

• Valid BO (Boiler Operator) Certificate or equivalent recognised qualification
• Proven experience operating and maintaining boiler systems and electrical equipment in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems relevant to industrial operations and preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
• Excellent understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and operational manuals
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to operational challenges
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate operational records
• Previous supervisory or team coordination experience is highly desirable
• Willing to work shifts, standby or overtime when required
