Chargeman BO

Responsibilities:

1. Liaise with TNB, DOSH, JKKP, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, and other regulatory bodies on approvals, registration/certifications, utility services, and compliance issues, ensuring statutory compliance to applicable laws.

2. To carry out scheduled and unscheduled inspections, repair, corrective, and preventive maintenance tasks on all switchboards, circuit breakers, transformers, switch gears, and cleanliness of all High Voltage, Low Voltage, generator rooms, chiller plant room, etc.

3. To ensure all mechanical & electrical installations and services (elevators, BAS, Fire Alarm System, Fire Fighting System, Lighting, etc) and maintenance are safe, correct, legal, and in compliance with the authorities.

4. To carry out monthly testing of the Fire Alarm system or as directed by the Building Maintenance and to attend and assist, where necessary, in all electrical and Bomba Facilities Inspections.

5. To supervise and ensure all scheduled services are in operation accordingly or in compliance with instructions issued by the Building Maintenance or authorized/assigned officers of the Company.

6. To supervise and ensure appointed maintenance contractors carry out their work satisfactorily in accordance with the recommended service & maintenance standards for mechanical and electrical services such as chiller systems, cooling towers, pump motors, and air handling units (AHU’s), etc.

7. To manage and ensure all activities are in accordance with the company’s Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

8. Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports. To prepare and submit any reports as required by TNB, DOSH, JKKP, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, and other regulatory bodies as required.

9. Effectively present information and reports to the management. Manage, execute and perform any and all instructions from the management, senior management, and Board of Directors from time to time.

10. Able to lead a team of technicians & maintenance assistants.

Requirements:

1. Possess a valid Chargeman BO Certificate issued by the relevant authority and recognized by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).

2. Minimum 1 year of working experience as a Chargeman B0 in building maintenance, hospitality, commercial, or related industries.

3)Strong knowledge of electrical systems, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety regulations.

4. Familiarity with building services systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, generators, and water supply systems.

Ability to lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of technicians to ensure smooth daily operations and maintenance activities.

5)Good leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

6. Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, vendors, and management at all levels.

7. Able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.

8. Proficient in preparing maintenance reports, work schedules, and service records.

9. Possess basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

10. Credit in English and Mathematics at SPM level will be an added advantage.

11. Willing to work on shifts, weekends, public holidays, and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
