Chargeman

TPG Oil & Gas, located at Tanjung Langsat, Johor, is a biodiesel manufacturing plant committed to operational excellence and sustainable energy solutions. As we continue to expand our operations and strengthen our workforce, we have vacancy for Chargeman roles.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for overseeing, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting of electrical installations, equipment and electrical projects

• Ensures safe and reliable electrical power supply to support production, utilities and critical plant operations, while coordinating statutory inspections and preventive maintenance activities

• Perform routine inspection of electrical switchboards, switchgear, MCCs, distribution boards, capacitor banks, earthing systems, plant electrical sockets, etc

• Monitor & calculate plant electrical load demand, power factor, voltage stability and equipment conditions

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including motor failures and cable faults

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance for LV & HV switchgear & busbar systems, Motor Control Centres (MCC), Motors, pumps, blowers, agitators, control panels and protection relays / VFD Variable Frequency Drive

• Familiar with plant utilities and equipment such as motors, pumps, boiler/burner electrical systems, cooling tower fans and basic instrumentation circuits

• Knowledge of troubleshooting tools such as multimeter, insulation tester (megger), earth tester, loop tester, thermography (preferred).

Requirement :

• Competent Chargeman A4 Certificate
• Minimum 3 years experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical work
• Experience in biodiesel, oleochemical, palm oil refining or chemical plant preferred
• Ability to work on shifts and on-call duty when required
