A. Financial Management & Reporting

• Own preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS as relevant)
• Drive the monthly closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of MIS reports
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses; present to leadership/board
• Coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits & ensure clean audit reports
• Design and strengthen internal financial controls (IFC) and SOPs
• Cash flow planning and working capital management

B. Credit Control & Receivables Management

• Design and implement credit policy, customer credit limits, and risk assessment frameworks
• Monitor and control Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) drive reduction in overdue receivables
• Oversee collections process, escalation mechanisms, and dispute resolution with customers
• Review ageing analysis and provisioning for doubtful debts
• Coordinate with sales team to balance revenue growth with credit risk exposure
• Set up and monitor early-warning systems for customer credit deterioration
• Negotiate payment terms, recovery plans, and (where required) legal recourse for defaults

C. Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor the finance team
• Build capability in the team on financial reporting, credit control, and compliance

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical accounting knowledge (Ind AS, taxation, statutory compliance)
• Proven track record in credit control / receivables management, including DSO reduction
• Experience with ERP systems SAP and MIS reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Negotiation skills for collections
• Leadership and stakeholder management ability
• High integrity and attention to detail
