- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, Companies Act requirements and applicable accounting standards.
- Maintain strong financial controls and accurate supporting documentation.
External Accountants, Tax Advisers & Professional Providers
- Act as the primary point of contact for external accountants, tax advisers and professional service providers.
- Liaise with external accountants responsible for outsourced accounting functions and review their work where appropriate.

Tax, Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
- Coordinate corporation tax, VAT and other statutory compliance processes across the different businesses.
- Support regulatory and compliance reporting requirements applicable to regulated group entities.
- Monitor changes in accounting, tax and regulatory requirements and assess their impact on the business.
- Ensure finance-related deadlines, filings and reporting obligations are met.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Process Improvement
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and business planning.
- Provide financial analysis and management information to support commercial decisions.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen financial controls and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop scalable finance processes, systems and reporting frameworks.
- Support ad hoc financial projects and business initiatives.
Candidate Requirements

- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in management accounts, statutory reporting and financial control.
