Macro Property Solutions is a growing Building Consultancy providing clear, practical and impartial advice across property and construction matters.

We work with a range of commercial clients across Northern Ireland, Ireland and the wider UK, delivering a high level of service across Building Surveying, Project Management and Contract Administration.

We are looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor, or an experienced surveyor working towards Chartership, to join the business and play an important role in its continued growth.

The role will be flexible, with a combination of office based working, site visits and working from home. While our main office is based in Toome, we are also open to a Belfast based working arrangement for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Landlord and Tenant Dilapidations instructions
• Undertake Technical Due Diligence and pre-acquisition building surveys and reporting
• Manage refurbishment, fit-out and remedial projects from inception through to completion
• Act as Contract Administrator, Project Manager and Employer’s Agent
• Prepare specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation
• Manage client relationships, consultants, contractors and project delivery programmes
• Assist with developing existing client relationships and securing new instructions
• Mentor and support junior surveyors and APC candidates
• Manage multiple instructions while maintaining a high standard of client service and commercial awareness

The Person

We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, personable and capable of managing their own workload and client relationships.

The successful candidate should have strong technical Building Surveying knowledge, excellent communication and client facing skills, good commercial awareness and the ability to independently manage multiple projects and instructions.

A proactive approach to business development and developing client relationships would also be an advantage.

Essential Criteria

• Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline
• Chartered status through a recognised professional body such as RICS or SCSI, or actively working towards Chartership
• Relevant consultancy experience
• Experience in commercial Building Surveying, including Dilapidations and Technical Due Diligence
• Experience managing construction projects, contracts and stakeholder relationships.
• Working knowledge of JCT contracts
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of Contract Administration and Project Management
• Experience managing or mentoring junior members of staff
• Existing commercial property contacts or experience developing new client relationships
