Chartering Manager

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Chartering Manager to join our commercial team and manage the fixture of dry bulk vessels across global trade routes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the dry bulk freight market, a proven track record of securing profitable fixtures, and well-established industry connections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate and conclude spot, COA, and time charter fixtures for dry bulk vessels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, and brokers.
• Monitor freight market trends, commodity flows, and port activities to identify opportunities.
• Prepare market reports and provide freight rate guidance to senior management.
• Collaborate with operations and post-fixture teams to ensure efficient contract execution.
• Maintain accurate records of chartering activities and market intelligence.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 5–8 years’ experience in dry bulk chartering with proven commercial success.
• Strong knowledge of global trade routes and commodities such as iron ore, coal, grains, and fertilizers.
• Established network within the dry bulk shipping market.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced commercial environment.
