Position Overview Reliance One is hiring a Chat Agent/Dealership Business Development Center Advisor for an established automotive company.

This customer-focused position supports a large network of national and international automotive dealerships through web chat, email, and other digital communication channels. The Chat Agent/BDC Advisor will answer vehicle and product questions, discuss customer concerns, explain promotions, schedule dealership appointments, and convert sales and service inquiries into qualified leads.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and communicator who can manage multiple conversations, build rapport quickly, and provide personalized solutions in a fast-paced remote customer service environment.

Candidates must be available to complete three weeks of on-site training in Warren, Michigan before transitioning to remote work. Key Responsibilities

• Represent automotive dealerships through web chat, email, and other digital communication channels.
• Assist customers throughout the vehicle research and purchase process.
• Answer questions about vehicles, products, features, benefits, incentives, and promotions.
• Convert vehicle sales and service inquiries into qualified dealership leads.
• Schedule dealership appointments and provide accurate follow-up information.
• Meet established customer service, productivity, lead-conversion, and department performance goals.
• Provide consultative assistance based on each customer’s needs and concerns.
• Respond professionally to frustrated customers and take ownership of each interaction.
• Build positive relationships with customers, dealerships, and internal team members.
• Maintain current knowledge of automotive products, promotions, and dealership operations.
• Accurately document customer interactions and outcomes.
• Manage multiple conversations and tasks simultaneously.
• Recommend improvements that enhance customer satisfaction, productivity, and efficiency.
• Participate in required training and professional development.
• Deliver courteous and professional service to all internal and external customers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• One to two years of customer service experience.
• Strong written communication, grammar, spelling, and reading-comprehension skills.
• Proficiency with computer navigation and typing.
• Ability to communicate professionally through web chat, email, and digital messaging.
• Ability to manage multiple customer interactions and competing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and performance goals.
• Positive, self-motivated attitude and strong work ethic.
• Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills.
• Ability to complete three weeks of required on-site training in Warren, Michigan.
• Ability to work independently and remain productive in a remote environment after training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive dealership, business development center, lead-generation, or digital sales experience.
• Journalism, creative writing, communications, or professional writing experience.
• Experience working with customer service or web-chat software.
• Experience converting online inquiries into sales or service appointments.
• Familiarity with automotive products, dealership operations, or vehicle purchasing.
