Check-In Agent

Check-in Agents are the first point of contact for customers and play an important role in customer service and operations.

Reports to: Supervisor & Terminal Manager

Basic Functions & Responsibilities

• Greet and assist passengers before departure and ensure the boarding process runs smoothly.
• Assist customers by providing information about services, schedules, fares, and policies.
• Verify passports and travel documentation for international passengers.
• Make, modify, or cancel reservations and process customer payments by cash, credit, or debit card.
• Issue boarding passes according to customer requirements.
• Communicate to passengers any information, procedures of boarding and announcements in the Terminal.
• Assist passengers with disabilities in the boarding process.
• Provide general customer assistance and resolve passenger inquiries in a professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with maritime and port security regulations.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn reservation systems.
• Ability to work well with colleagues and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain professional and organized in a fast-paced environment.
