Checker Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify import and export customs declarations to ensure accuracy and compliance with customs laws, regulations, and related government requirements.
• Monitor and control the quality of customs documentation to achieve a high level of accuracy and minimize errors.
• Collaborate with management to establish departmental goals, KPIs, and performance standards.
• Support the control and resolution of customer complaints related to customs clearance operations.
• Provide professional advice and guidance to Customer Service teams regarding customs declaration requirements and customs procedures.
• Supervise and coach Checker Officers to ensure work quality, productivity, and compliance with company policies.
• Ensure employees follow occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations and company procedures.
• Analyze operational risks and identify potential issues in customs clearance processes, coordinating with relevant parties to implement preventive actions.
• Stay updated on customs regulations, tariff classifications, rules of origin, and government requirements related to import and export activities.
• Prepare reports and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Customs Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Customs Clearance, Import-Export Operations, or Freight Forwarding.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariff classification, rules of origin, and import-export procedures.
• Experience with EDI, e-Customs, Paperless Systems, or customs declaration software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and team leadership abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
