Checkout Supervisor

PAK'n SAVE Tauriko is seeking a full time Checkout Manager. The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 60 members, working closely with the Assistant Checkout Manager and Checkout Supervisors.

This is a full-time permanent role Sunday to Thursday 45 hours per week.

The role will be part of the store’s team of 220 and larger group of of 22,000 Foodies across the Foodstuffs North Island co-operative. PAK’nSAVE Tauriko has proudly served the Tauranga community for 8 years .

Checkout Manager, key responsibilities include:

· Effectively resolve all customer related enquiries and complaints.

· Reinforce and appropriately implement the businesses returns policy in all appropriate transactions.

· Ensure effective liaison with other departments to minimise delays in dealing with price / stock enquiries. ·

· Maintain security of the front end to ensure all products that leave the store are paid for.

· Ensure checkouts are set up daily and floats are managed.

· Optimise the staff roster to consistently maintain adequate staffing levels while aligning with wage percentage targets.

· Ensure staff follow Checkout processes and procedures incorporating the Steps to Quality Service.

 · Ensure all team members receive a thorough induction to the department, along with ongoing training and support.

· Guide all department members through targeted training to meet desired performance standards.

• Be able to demonstrate a cooperative spirit, aligning with the store’s values, and possess solid retail leadership experience.

Experience desired:

• Checkout Management experience
• Industry experience.
