Job Summary

Speed Art Museum is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Checkout Systems Associate to support ticketing, point-of-sale transactions, and visitor service operations. The ideal candidate will process transactions accurately, assist visitors with checkout questions, and help maintain efficient front-of-house operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process admissions, purchases, and other transactions accurately
• Operate point-of-sale and checkout systems
• Assist visitors with ticketing and payment questions
• Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments
• Maintain accurate transaction and sales records
• Reconcile checkout transactions and report discrepancies
• Provide friendly and professional visitor assistance
• Maintain an organized and secure checkout area
• Assist with basic retail and visitor service tasks
• Follow museum security, customer service, and operational procedures

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, retail, ticketing, or customer service experience preferred
• Strong cash-handling and basic math skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer and point-of-sale system knowledge
• Professional and customer-focused attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
