Chef - Chef de Partie

The Athenaeum Club, one of Melbourne's most prestigious establishments, is seeking a full time qualified Chef de Partie to join its professional brigade.

You will work with a team of chefs who are responsible for delivering a consistently high quality food product for lunch and dinner and various functions. This is a rare opportunity to work in a rewarding environment as part of a creative kitchen brigade. This position is predominantly Monday to Friday because the Club's restaurants and bar are closed on weekends.Occasional weekend shifts when we open for a private function or event.

What we’re looking for in the applicant;

• A true hospitality professional, dedicated to providing excellence in food service
• Someone who is happy to work varying hours including evenings each week
• Previous experience in a Private Club and/or 5 Star multi outlet venue
• Supervisory experience and strong leadership skills
• A passion for great food
• Being driven and focused with a desire to continue to learn and succeed in a culinary/hospitality career
• Displays excellent communication skills
• Is honest and reliable
• Exceptionally well presented and groomed
• The ability to give and take direction and work in a team
• Has the knowledge and ability to maintain a safe and hygienic working environment
