Chef – Cobram Hotel

Cobram Hotel is looking for a motivated and experienced Chef to join our busy kitchen team in Cobram, Victoria.

We are seeking a chef who is passionate about preparing quality food, takes pride in their work and can perform well in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

About the role

As a Chef at Cobram Hotel, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting meals to a high standard

• Working across a varied pub-style menu, including daily specials

• Ensuring food quality, consistency and portion control

• Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen

• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures

• Assisting with stock control, ordering and kitchen preparation

• Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams

• Contributing to menu ideas and seasonal specials

• Supporting other kitchen staff as required

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen

• Relevant qualifications, such as Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent experience

• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety requirements

• The ability to work efficiently under pressure

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A reliable, positive and professional attitude

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
