About the role

We're looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Full-Time Chef to join our team at our modern, state-of-the-art restaurant in Ravenswood, North Canterbury. Joe's Garage is famous across New Zealand for our simple, fast and reliable food, great service and fun atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Cook steaks to a high standard
• Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
• Accurately follow recipes, systems and instructions
• Work confidently both independently and as part of a team
• Maintain a high level of understanding of food safety requirements
• Work reliably across Monday to Sunday, including morning and evening shifts
• Operate confidently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

About you

• Experienced chef
• Experience cooking steaks to a high standard
• Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Reliable and available Monday to Sunday, including morning and evening shifts
• High level of understanding of food safety requirements
• Reliable, positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
