Chef

We're looking for an experienced Chef to join our dedicated kitchen team. Using only the finest and freshest local ingredients, this is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate chef looking to progress their career in our café and bar in the centre of Standish.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation, cooking & presentation of hot/cold dishes & garnishes
• Ensuring all kitchen areas are clean and tidy
• Ensuring Health and safety regulations are followed at all times
• Maintain high levels of stock rotation and assist with daily stock ordering
• Confident in running your own section with a full understanding and running of one of the following sections Larder, Meat & Fish or the Pastry Section
• Assisting with menu planning and identifying new ideas
• Working collectively as part of the kitchen team

Ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working in a Fresh Food environment
• Good people and communication skills
• Passion about food and customer service
• Commitment to their own personal development
• High standards and be quality driven
• A 'Can do' attitude

Candidates MUST have worked in a busy fresh food kitchen environment.

20 - 30 hours per week over 3 or 4 days, including breakfast, lunchtimes, evenings, weekends & bank holidays.

Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour

• Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
