Chef

We’re looking for an experienced, creative and committed chef to join our small team at Church Street Coffee & Kitchen.

We’re an independent café serving freshly prepared brunch and lunch, and we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their food, enjoys a busy service and wants to play an active role in developing what we do.

We want someone who can bring fresh ideas to the table, help us expand our menu and create exciting, regularly changing specials.

The Role

Working as part of our team, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and delivering our brunch and lunch menus to a consistently high standard.
• Completing daily food preparation and kitchen clean-down.
• Working collaboratively with the team to ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
• Helping develop new dishes, expand our menu and create seasonal specials.
• Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and organisation.
• Assisting with stock rotation, ordering and minimising food waste.

What We’re Looking For

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a chef.
• Confidence and experience in a busy brunch and lunch environment.
• Creativity, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for good food.
• A reliable, organised and committed approach to work.
• A strong team player who communicates well and supports their colleagues.
• Someone who enjoys contributing ideas and wants to help us continue developing our food offering.

Hours & Benefits

Thursday – Sunday | 7:30am – 3:30pm

32 hours per week. No evening shifts.
