About us
Sunny Day School is a 24/7 childcare center in Las Vegas serving children from 4 weeks to 12 years old. We believe great food is part of great care, and we're looking for a chef who takes pride in feeding kids well.

What you'll do

• Plan and prepare nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and snacks for children ages 4 weeks to 12 years
• Accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions (dairy-free, nut-free, vegetarian, etc.)
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with Southern Nevada Health District food safety standards
• Manage food inventory, place orders, and minimize waste
• Maintain daily meal records and temperature logs
• Work with our team on special event menus, e.g. community days

What you need

• [1–2+] years of cooking experience; childcare, school, or daycare kitchen experience strongly preferred
• Valid Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler Card (or ability to get one before starting)
• Knowledge of child nutrition and CACFP meal guidelines a plus
• Able to pass a background check per Nevada childcare licensing requirements
• Reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
