About the Role

Our Client is seeking an experienced and hardworking Chef to prepare high quality meals while maintaining excellent standards of taste, hygiene and presentation. The ideal candidate should be able to plan meals, manage kitchen operations and work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals according to agreed menus and preferences
• Plan weekly menus and suggest new meal options
• Purchase and manage kitchen ingredients and supplies
• Ensure proper storage and preservation of food items
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and kitchen hygiene
• Monitor food portions and minimise wastage
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule
• Maintain kitchen equipment and report any faults promptly
• Maintain accurate awareness of available ingredients and restocking needs
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards
• Prepare both local Nigerian dishes and continental meals
• Cater to special dietary preferences or requirements where necessary

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Chef or Cook
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian and continental cuisine
• Good knowledge of food preparation, hygiene and kitchen safety
• Ability to plan menus and manage kitchen supplies
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Trustworthy, neat and responsible
• Good communication skills
• Culinary training or relevant certification is an advantage

Salary: ₦200,000 monthly

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be passionate about cooking, organised, hygienic and capable of consistently preparing tasty and well presented meals. The person must also be responsible, trustworthy and comfortable managing kitchen responsibilities independently.

Pay: ₦200,000.00 per month
