Are you a passionate, driven Sous Chef looking for your next challenge?

We have recently taken over a new pub venue in Carnforth and are looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our team and work alongside our Head Chef.

Working Pattern: 4 days on, 3 days off

What you’ll be doing:

• Working closely with the Head Chef to deliver exceptional food every day
• Maintaining consistency, quality and presentation across every dish
• Preparing and cooking a fresh, seasonal menu
• Producing high-quality stocks, sauces and fresh ingredients from scratch
• Ensuring all prep is completed to a high standard
• Keeping the kitchen organised, clean and service-ready
• Taking responsibility for running the kitchen on quieter days and supporting the Head Chef during busy periods
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef, or a strong Chef de Partie ready to take the next step
• Experience working in a busy pub, restaurant or hotel kitchen with a focus on fresh food
• Confidence in preparing fresh stocks, sauces and dishes from scratch
• A genuine passion for quality food and consistency
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to thrive under pressure
• A reliable team player who leads by example
