Job Summary

South West Pizza in Topsham is looking for a Chef to support our Head Chef throughout the tasks required to run a small but busy kitchen which serves 50-200 pizzas per day.

As a key member of our Kitchen Team, you will be involved in running service, food preparation, ensuring high standards of food safety and work with others to motivate the team, always producing top pizzas, sides, salads and more.

Your leadership will be required in the absence of our Head Chef, helping with ordering and healt & safety checks.

At South West Pizza we use a large range of local producers across our Food & Drink menu including in house produced Good Game Charcuterie

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Chef to ensure smooth daily operations and maintain high-quality food production.
• Full involvement in food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to meet established standards.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs while minimizing waste.
• Follow food safety regulations and sanitation procedures.
• Put forward new menu ideas in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
• Help train team members on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and hospitality standards
• Ensure timely serving of dishes to maintain excellent customer satisfaction and uphold service excellence.

Pay: From £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
