Margie The Market Bar is a vibrant food and beverage concept located at Margaret Market, bringing together great food, drinks, events, and a welcoming community atmosphere.

We are looking for 2 passionate and reliable Chefs to join our kitchen team and support our daily operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and portion requirements.
• Ensure all dishes are consistently prepared and presented to a high standard.
• Assist with menu preparation and daily food production.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen.
• Check food quality, freshness, and storage conditions.
• Assist with stock monitoring and inform the team when supplies need replenishment.
• Minimise food wastage and maintain proper portion control.
• Work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Support preparation for events, promotions, and busy service periods.
• Follow all company and kitchen safety procedures.
• Perform other kitchen duties as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, or in a professional kitchen.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen hygiene.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Responsible, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Food safety certification is an advantage.
