About Us We’re L’affare. The coffee business. Ever since 1990. We were born out of a love for espresso, in Wellington at our café and HQ. 33 years later, we’re still there on College Street.

Our people make us who we are today. We’re a mixed bunch of creative, industrious, adventurous humans, all with a great love for serving NZ the freshest and best coffee possible.

The Opportunity We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic Chef to join our kitchen team in our College Street Café. You'll be working in all aspects of the kitchen, including using your creativity to support our Head Chef with delicious new seasonal dishes. You'll prepare a range of cabinet food and menu items to a high standard, some baking will be required too. You’ll also complete daily food prepping, maintain our kitchen cleanliness and support the wider team when the pressure is on.

This is a permanent part-time role, offering 28 hours per week, with some required weekend work.

Who are we looking for? You'll be someone who takes pride in quality and presentation of food, who is agile and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll have completed your professional training and have industry experience to go with it. You’ll be eager to learn more from our Head Chef and be a strong team player, helping to support and train your colleagues too.
