Chef – Sardo Sorrento

Sardo Sorrento is seeking an experienced full-time Chef to join our established Italian restaurant located in Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.

We are a busy, well-established venue specialising in authentic Italian cuisine, handmade pasta, fresh local seafood, premium produce, and high-quality dining experiences.

This is a permanent full-time position with sponsorship available for the right candidate.

Position Details

• Full-time permanent role
• 40 hours per week
• Salary: $95,000 – $110,000
• Sponsorship available
• Immediate start available

Main Duties

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes
• Manage daily kitchen operations during service
• Assist with menu planning and seasonal specials
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff when required

Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum 3 years relevant chef experience
• Relevant trade qualification preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards
• Reliable, organised, and team-oriented
