About the role

You'll be working 30–40+ hours per week, with a mix of independent and team based shifts. Earlier in the week, you'll run the kitchen solo, so you must be confident, organised, and able to manage prep and service on your own. Later in the week, you'll be part of a tight team during busy services, where communication and teamwork are key.

Key responsibilities

• Run the kitchen solo earlier in the week, managing prep and service independently
• Work as part of a tight team during busy services later in the week
• Follow recipes consistently and manage prep to ensure consistency
• Maintain strong attention to plating and presentation
• Keep systems and paperwork up to date
• Contribute to prep, cleaning, and keeping the kitchen set up properly for the next shift
• Bake desserts or dessert pies if experienced in this area

• Takes ownership of their work and their prep
• Works well both alone and as part of a team
• Cares about consistency, cleanliness, and detail
• Takes pride in leaving the kitchen set up for the next shift
• Must already have the legal right to work in New Zealand
