Overview

Upstairs at Landrace in Bath are on the hunt for a new chef to join the team. The position is for an experience junior sous chef or a senior chef de partie who might be looking for that next challenge. At least two years cooking at chef de partie/junior sous level is preferred but an energy and enthusiasm to work in a fast paced kitchen is essential. With potential openings on the horizon next year the right candidate will have the opportunity for progression within the team quickly.

The role

• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in running a busy, high-standard kitchen
• Lead sections during service and keep consistency and quality across the pass
• Help with menu development, prep planning, and seasonal changes
• Manage ordering, stock control, and deliveries, working with our suppliers
• Train, support, and motivate junior team members
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management, including accurate record-keeping
• Cover the kitchen when senior chefs are off

About you

• Experience as a strong chef de partie or senior CDP, ideally in a quality-focused restaurant
• Passion for seasonal, British, and locally sourced produce
• Calm and organised under pressure, with a good eye for detail
• A natural team player who leads by example and communicates clearly
• Solid understanding of food safety and allergens (Level 2 Food Hygiene minimum)
• Keen to learn, develop, and take on responsibility
• Right to work in the UK

Pay: £13.22-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 48.0 per week
