About the role

As a chef you'll help maintain high standards across every dish that leaves the pass at The Glenelg Public House, a modern venue inspired by timeless hospitality: open flames, great steaks, boutique wines, and a kitchen that genuinely cares about craft.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to established standards
• Contributing ideas to seasonal menus using fresh produce and stock on hand
• Delivering consistent quality and attention to detail for every guest
• Helping with stock control, rotation, ordering and minimising wastage
• Supporting and working alongside other kitchen team members
• Keeping a positive, team-focused environment in the kitchen
• Following health, safety and food hygiene standards at all times

About you

• Has experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
• Holds a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred, not essential)
• Works well under pressure and enjoys being part of a team
• Has a genuine passion for quality produce and well-executed food
• Is reliable, consistent and takes pride in their work
• Has experience cooking with meat, grills or open flame (a bonus, not essential)
