We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team !

We are proud to serve freshly prepared food in a welcoming village pub. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for great food along with excellent service.

Hours and pay to be discussed depending on experience.

Duties

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food production meets quality standards and safety regulations
• Lead, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to deliver exceptional service and maintain high performance levels
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, demonstrating advanced culinary skills and attention to detail
• Manage food inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling waste to optimize kitchen efficiency
• Enforce food safety protocols and hygiene standards consistently across all kitchen activities
• Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
• Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and restaurant standards

Skills

• Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary environment
• Strong background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
• Excellent team management and leadership abilities to inspire staff and foster teamwork
• Extensive kitchen experience with a focus on culinary excellence and innovation
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
• Previous restaurant experience demonstrating versatility across various cuisines
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in serving guests

Pay: £12.71-£19.82 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
