Chef

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Chef to join our new Philly cheesesteak brand in Newcastle. We are opening a SECOND SITE and looking for new candidates.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for prepping ingredients, cooking and serving our small menu, while helping us deliver consistently great cheesesteaks and sides.

The role

• Preparing garnishes and sauces
• Cooking Philly cheesesteaks to a consistently high standard
• Preparing and cooking sides
• Serving customers
• Keeping the small kitchen clean, organised and efficient
• Working with a server in a small 2-3 man team during busy periods, quiet days you must be confident working alone
• Following food safety and hygiene procedures
• Maintaining high standards of portion control and presentation
• Helping with stock rotation and deliveries
• Working as part of a small, fast-paced team

• Can work quickly without compromising quality

• Is reliable, hardworking and positive
• Enjoys interacting directly with customers
• Has a genuine passion for great food

Experience with grills, flat-tops or street food is a bonus, but not essential.

This is a great opportunity to join a new independent food business from the beginning and have a real input into how we operate.

We are multi-site from the start, so lots of options to move around and move up into area-management quickly if initiative is shown.

Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
