CHEF

Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards.

Handle food preparation, including washing, cutting, marinating and portioning ingredients.

Ensure food is prepared and served according to the required quality, taste and presentation standards.

Manage cooking and food preparation during service periods to ensure timely orders.

Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, cooking equipment and work areas.

Ensure proper food storage and minimise food wastage.

Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.

Assist with daily kitchen operations and maintain smooth workflow.

Work closely with other kitchen staff and service crew.

Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the management.

Job Requirements:
At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Chef or Cook.

Experience in a restaurant, bistro or commercial kitchen is preferred.

Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen hygiene.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsible, hardworking and willing to learn.

Good teamwork and communication skills.

Working Conditions:
Work in a restaurant kitchen environment.

Required to stand for extended periods and handle food ingredients and kitchen equipment.

Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays according to the restaurant’s schedule.
