Prepare nutritious meals for aged care residents. Balance dietary requirements with quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, cook meals per menu plans
• Accommodate dietary requirements (texture-modified, allergies, cultural, medical)
• Ensure attractive presentation
• Manage kitchen operations
• Maintain food safety/HACCP
• Supervise kitchen staff
• Maintain temperature logs
• Collaborate with facility management and dietitians
• Ensure equipment maintenance
• Participate in menu reviews

Requirements

• Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• Min 2 years Chef experience
• Strong food safety/HACCP knowledge
• Texture-modified diet experience
• Kitchen team management
• Current Food Safety Supervisor cert
• National Police Check
• Valid working rights
• Current flu vaccination
• COVID-19 vaccinations

Desirable

• Aged care/hospital catering experience
• IDDSI framework knowledge
• Cert IV Commercial Cookery or Diploma
