Chef / Cook

The Dunes Matarangi is looking to hire a competent Chef/Cook to work in a fulltime position in our busy Clubhouse kitchen and Pizza bar. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high volume bistro style environment and be confidant in the following.

• Proficiency in cooking techniques, such as roasting, braising, sautéing and wood fired pizza

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Cost control and inventory management

• Ability to coordinate kitchen workflow during service

• Ability to maintain consistent plating and portion standards

• Keeping track of meal prep components to ensure timely completion of final dishes

• Maintaining clean and sanitized workstations

• Checking perishable ingredients and food items for freshness

• Taking daily measures to prevent food cross-contamination
