Chef Culinary Instructor

We are seeking an enthusiastic Culinary Instructor who enjoys cooking, baking, and working with children. You’ll lead hands-on classes, birthday parties, and private events while helping students build confidence and practical kitchen skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach cooking and baking lessons using established recipes and teaching guidelines.

• Demonstrate core skills, including measuring, mixing, knife safety, and proper equipment use.

• Explain techniques clearly and adapt instruction to different ages, abilities, and experience levels.

• Manage the classroom, keep students engaged, and encourage hands-on participation.

• Supervise students closely and follow food safety, sanitation, and allergy procedures.

• Prepare ingredients, supplies, and workstations before each class.

• Lead birthday parties, workshops, camps, and private events.

• Clean and reset the kitchen, wash dishes, and store ingredients and equipment properly.

• Communicate professionally with families and collaborate with fellow instructors and assistants.

Qualifications

• A passion for cooking, baking, and teaching.

• Patience, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills.

• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and good organizational skills.

• Ability to manage a group and work in a busy, hands-on environment.

• Culinary education, professional kitchen experience, or experience working with children preferred.

• Food safety certification is a plus.

• Willingness to work after-school hours, weekends, and events.

Previous teaching experience is welcome but not required. Training is available for candidates who demonstrate strong potential and a willingness to learn.
