Chef de Partie

About the role

We are seeking a reliable, skilled Part-Time Chef de Partie to join our team for 25 to 30 hours per week (mostly Monday - Friday nights with a 4pm start time). While this role focuses primarily on our grill section, you will be a versatile chef ready to pivot and support other sections (larder, pastry etc.) as kitchen demands change. This is the perfect role for a culinary professional seeking premium kitchen experience with a genuine work-life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Run and manage your assigned station (primarily the grill) to high standards during service
• Ensure precise food preparation, consistent plating, and efficient stock management
• Uphold strict food safety, cleaning, and food hygiene (HACCP) protocols

About you

• Proven experience cooking on a busy grill section with confidence and consistency
• A flexible approach to hours and rostering (25-30 hours per week)
• NZQA Level 3 in Cookery or higher, or an equivalent recognised qualification is preferred
• A positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and pride in delivering exceptional cuisine
