  • Monitoring food quality, consistency, portion control, presentation, and the quality of ingredients.
  • Supervising, training, and supporting kitchen hands and other team members within your section.
  • Maintaining food safety, hygiene, cleaning, workplace health and safety, and equipment standards.
  • Leading by example through punctuality, professional presentation, teamwork, and safe work practices.
  • Supporting the smooth operation of kitchen services and performing other duties reasonably required within the scope of the role.

What You Will Bring

  • Full, unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
  • Demonstrated hands-on culinary experience and the ability to run a kitchen section effectively.
  • A formal culinary qualification or equivalent industry training relevant to the role.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety, recipes, and cooking procedures.
  • A strong commitment to food quality, consistency, presentation, and attention to detail.
  • The ability to lead by example, follow direction, respond positively to feedback, and provide clear direction to others.
  • A reliable, punctual, flexible, and team-focused approach to work.
  • The ability to work early starts, weekends, and public holidays where required.
  • Experience in a high-volume kitchen, café, carvery, or production food environment, including training or mentoring junior staff, will be highly regarded.

Why Join Us?

We believe our success is driven by our people. You aren't just getting a job; you're joining a community-focused company with a clear vision for growth. We offer:

  • The opportunity to work with high-quality fresh food products in a supportive and professional production environment.
  • The chance to develop your skills and contribute to the continued growth of a respected regional employer.
  • A collaborative workplace culture that values food safety, product consistency, teamwork, initiative, and high standards.
