The Superlative Collection and Merchant City Pub Co. run some of Glasgow's best-known bars, restaurants and venues. We're growing, and we're looking for a Junior Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team.

If you're a CDP ready to step up, or already a Junior Sous looking for a kitchen where you'll be trusted with real responsibility, we'd like to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

• Running your section to a consistently high standard on every service
• Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with prep, ordering, stock control and wastage
• Leading the pass and the kitchen when senior chefs are off (Junior Sous)
• Training and bringing on commis chefs and kitchen porters
• Keeping food safety, allergen and cleaning records accurate and up to date
• Contributing ideas to menus and specials

What we're looking for

• Experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous in a busy, fresh-food kitchen
• Solid all-round skills and the confidence to work any section
• Someone calm and organised under pressure who keeps standards high when it's busy
• A good working knowledge of food safety, HACCP and allergens
• A team player who looks after the people around them
• Level 2 Food Safety (Level 3 an advantage)

Pay: From £13.20 per hour
