About the role

We are seeking a talented Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team at Bells At Killcare, a renowned luxury coastal resort located on the picturesque Central Coast region of New South Wales. As a full-time member of our kitchen brigade, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and execution of exceptional dining experiences for our discerning guests.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standards, adhering to recipes and presentation guidelines
• Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the planning and coordination of daily kitchen operations
• Manage the wood-fired grill section, including fire preparation, temperature control, and maintaining consistency throughout service.
• Organise and run the grill section efficiently during busy services.
• Cook a variety of meats, seafood, and seasonal produce over an open fire.
• Collaborate with the wider culinary team
• Participate in menu development and contribute ideas to enhance the dining experience
• Provide training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff as required

What we're looking for

• Solid experience as a CDP, with strong grilling skills and a good understanding of meat and seafood cookery.

• Formal culinary qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.

• Confidence running a section independently and working efficiently under pressure.

• An interest in wood-fired cooking and a willingness to learn fire management techniques.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the wider culinary team.
