We’re Hiring! Part-Time Chef de Partie

Loca Bar & Restaurant | Felixstowe

Got a passion for proper food & take pride in every plate? We’re looking for a part-time Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at Loca, our independent, award-winning restaurant in Felixstowe.

From breakfasts to Sunday roasts & seasonal favourites, we’re all about good food, warm hospitality & giving our guests a reason to come back.

Your role

You’ll take responsibility for your section, working closely with the kitchen team to deliver consistent, well-presented dishes throughout service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, cooking & presenting dishes to our recipes & standards.
• Organising your section & completing prep ready for service.
• Maintaining quality, portion control & presentation during busy periods.
• Following food hygiene, cleaning & safe storage procedures.
• Handling dietary requirements carefully, following allergen procedures & preventing cross-contamination.
• Monitoring stock, rotating ingredients & helping reduce food waste.
• Supporting your teammates & communicating clearly with front of house.

About you

You’ll bring experience in a professional kitchen, ideally as a Chef de Partie or an experienced Commis Chef ready to step up. You’ll be reliable, organised & able to keep your cool when the tickets start coming in.

A strong understanding of food hygiene & allergens is essential. We’re particularly keen to hear from chefs who take care & pride in preparing gluten-free dishes & accommodating dietary requirements.

Hours & pay

This is a part-time position. Weekly hours, shift patterns around 12-24hrs & pay will be discussed during the application process depending on experience. Please include your availability when applying.
