About the role

Fergus Bar and Kitchen is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our talented kitchen team. As Chef de Partie, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our busy kitchen, preparing high-quality dishes that showcase our menu. This is a full-time position based in our restaurant located in Rototuna North, Hamilton.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to our exceptionally high standards
• Assisting the Head Chef with menu planning and recipe development
• Maintaining a clean, organized and efficient work environment
• Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations
• Mentoring and training junior kitchen staff
• Collaborating with the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional dining experience

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-quality restaurant or kitchen

• Exceptional culinary skills and a passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure

• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities

• A team player with strong communication and leadership skills

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
