About the role

As a Chef De Partie at Boatshed Market, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our renowned restaurant/market located in the vibrant beachside suburb of Cottesloe, Western Australia. This full-time position requires you to work as part of a skilled culinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare high-quality dishes to the restaurant's exacting standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
• Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food cost management and inventory control.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold the restaurant's culinary excellence.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team dynamic in the kitchen.
• Ensure all food preparation and service adheres to relevant health and safety regulations.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef De Partie or equivalent role in a high-quality restaurant
• Strong technical cooking skills and a passion for creating innovative, flavoursome dishes
• Excellent time management, multitasking and problem-solving abilities
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant formal culinary qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery)

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
