Job Summary

Prepare specific food items and meal components at your station while following directions from the head chef. Collaborate with the culinary team to deliver high-quality food and service, maintain kitchen safety and sanitation, manage supplies, and improve preparation methods based on feedback.

Responsibilities

Prepare specific food items and meal components at your assigned station to meet quality standards

Follow directions provided by the head chef to ensure consistency and efficiency in food preparation

Collaborate with the culinary team to deliver high-quality food and excellent service to customers

Maintain a safe and sanitary work area in the kitchen according to best practices for safety and sanitation

Conduct stocktaking and order supplies for your station to ensure availability of ingredients and materials

Improve food preparation methods by applying feedback from supervisors and team members

Assist in other kitchen areas as needed to support smooth operations and teamwork

Manage multiple tasks efficiently and stay organized during busy shifts

Communicate clearly and listen attentively to team members and supervisors to coordinate work effectively

Work well within a team environment to contribute to a positive and productive kitchen atmosphere

Be available to work shifts during weekends and holidays as required

Preferred competencies and qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Qualification from a culinary school

Past experience working in a similar culinary role

Passion for delivering great food and service
