Full-time | 40–48 hours per week | 5 days a week

The Kings Head Napton is a growing independent pub and restaurant with a strong focus on quality, freshly prepared food and modern British cooking.

We are a small, close-knit and ambitious team and, as the business continues to grow, we are looking for a hardworking Chef to join us and support our Head Chef.

For us, attitude is just as important as experience. We are looking for someone who is willing to work hard, be flexible, learn, develop and become a key part of the team.

The Role

You will work closely alongside the Head Chef and help with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

Our food is centred around modern British gastropub cooking, combining recognisable pub classics with more refined and creative dishes. We produce as much as possible in-house and regularly develop seasonal menus, specials and event menus.

You will be expected to:

• Support the Head Chef throughout prep and service
• Prepare and cook dishes consistently to a high standard
• Take responsibility for your section during service
• Help with daily preparation and mise en place
• Maintain excellent cleanliness and food hygiene standards
• Assist with deliveries, stock control and reducing waste
• Be flexible and willing to help wherever required
• Learn new dishes, techniques and ways of working
• Contribute ideas as your confidence and experience grow
• Help keep the kitchen running smoothly as part of a small team

Hours

40–48 hours per week across 5 days.

As a small independent business, flexibility is important, particularly around busy services, weekends and events.

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
