At Green Leaves Early Learning, we take pride in placing our teams and children at the heart of everything we do. From greeting our families each morning with a friendly smile and a barista-made coffee and treat, to conjuring up interesting and exciting food for our children, it’s all in a day’s work as Chef of our centre. Day to day, in this role, you can enjoy:

• Use your mastery knowledge of cooking to plan an interesting and exciting menu for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old
• Preparing a wide variety of nutritious meals and purees, as well as working to dietary requirements for babies and children
• Confidently managing the kitchen autonomously, ensuring effective stock rotation, budgeting, and shopping for your kitchen
• Ensuring the highest level of food safety and supervision in accordance with the Food and Council Authority requirements and Green Leaves Early Learning Standards
• Mentoring and guiding a kitchen hand in a professional environment, to deliver the highest quality of food and service
• Providing thoughtful culinary classes alongside our Educators to our littlest learners

About You:

• At least a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• A current SA Working with Children's Check (or willing to obtain)
• Current SA Child Protection Training (or willing to obtain)
• Current HLTAID012 First Aid Certificate and CPR  (or willing to obtain)
• National Child Safety Training (or willing to obtain)
• National Police Clearance obtained in the last 6 months (or willing to obtain)
• Must be available Monday to Friday 6:30 am to 2:30 pm
