Chef/Barstaff

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Chef/Barstaff to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary skills and provide excellent service in a lively restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and beverages, possess strong organisational abilities, and enjoy engaging with customers. Previous experience in a similar setting is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
• Serve food and beverages efficiently whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
• Take orders accurately and process payments using the POS system
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and bar areas in compliance with food safety regulations
• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operation during service hours
• Assist with organising reservations, table arrangements, and special event setups
• Engage with customers professionally, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at all times
• Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards

Skills

• Proven experience in hospitality, preferably within a restaurant or bar setting
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
• Excellent serving skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
• Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
• Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
• Effective time management to ensure timely service during busy periods
• Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability
• Personal presentation that reflects the professional image of the establishment
